FMA AU - non-canon

Lace and Erin were the youngest members of Greed’s chimera gang, and as such were inexperienced with their abilities. Erin in particular still doesn’t know how to transform and is stuck partway through (she’s part cat - Lace doesn’t even want to know what she is, but she suspects it’s something horrible).

Despite the comfort they were offered, they felt that they didn’t quite fit in with the older adults in the group and left. Greed was, of course, upset that his possessions would abandon him, but they struck out on their own regardless. The girls found, however, that chimeras weren’t looked upon with fondness by the military and decided to return to Dublith.

When they arrived, the Devil’s Nest had been raided by Fuhrer Bradley himself and everybody inside was slaughtered, with Greed nowhere to be seen.

The pair now travel the South in search of a place to call home, looking for Greed in case he survived the massacre, helping those who need it and avoiding military capture.

Shae was one of the lucky few to survive the Ishvalan genocide, and bore witness to the devastating power of the State Alchemists. Rather than terrifying her, however, she became fascinated by the power of fire and swore to master it as the soldiers had.

Her young age was the only reason her people didn’t exile her as a heretic when they discovered she was researching into alchemy, especially flame alchemy. She eventually decided to strike out on her own, wandering from town to town, library to library to find anything she can about flame alchemy and calling herself Elina to sound more appealing to Amestrians.

She’ll master the skill even if it means marching up to Roy Mustang himself and demanding to become his apprentice, and not even all the racial slurs in the universe would stop her.

Quora is the dedicated bodyguard of Junjie, third prince of the nation of Xing. She followed him as he escaped his eventual assassination in his homeland under the pretence of seeking immortality for the Emperor and has stayed by his side ever since. The scars she bears are from all of the assassination attempts she has already prevented.

She only knows enough alkahestry to seal minor wounds and is nowhere near as skilled at the craft as Junjie, but makes up for it with hand-to-hand fighting skills and has built up in an immunity to many, many poisons.

Andi was bored with her luxurious life of riches and felt that it didn’t suit her, and would likely have lived an unhappy life were it not for a dinner party at which she was fortunate enough to meet General Armstrong. The General (in her own special way) encouraged Andi to strike out on her own and sculpt her own fate.

With that in mind, she ran away from home and joined the military academy. She has to keep rotating platoons due to a strange trail of bad luck that seems to follow her, but is never-the-less determined to do well.

Perry’s family have always been quite military oriented, but when it came her turn to take up the guns, she decided on a slightly different route. Rather than aiming to graduate from the military academy and become a full-blown soldier, she decided instead to become a spy, feeding information to the higher-ups about suspected enemies of Amestris.

Even if her mother wouldn’t approve of her lifestyle, it’s been worth it, especially getting to spend time with the handsome Roy Mustang as one of his informants. If he weren’t so infatuated with his lieutenant, there’s no doubt she would ask for a dinner with him.

Lydia was originally one of the guards assigned to protect Kimblee during his assignment in the north, but when she found out exactly who she would have to protect, she tried to refuse the mission. She deserted en route to Briggs and has lived on the run from the military ever since, never sure who she can trust properly in case they turn her in.

She is a chimera, as betrayed by her ears and teeth, and her body was spliced with that of a wild pig. She doesn’t use her abilities very much, seeing as chimeras aren’t exactly the most popular people in Amestris and are viewed with far more confusion and fear than empathy and understanding.

Stella and her music are renowned throughout Amestris. Anybody who owns a gramophone or a radio is sure to have heard one of her records. It is rumoured that she is native to Aerugo, but since paparazzi/celebrity culture isn’t really a thing in Amestris, nobody wants to invade her privacy.

Jean Havoc once asked her on a date, but she turned him down because she’s already dating her manager. Her most famous songs are “We’ll Meet Again” “Over the Rainbow” and “Transmute My Heart”.

The mysterious woman known only as “War” is an oddity to the area where she lives. Nobody knows where she came from or what race she is: she bears the black hair of Xing, but the blue eyes of Amestris and the sharp features of Ishval. It’s rumoured that she may even be of Xerxian descent.

The truth is that she is an Amestrian soldier working under orders from Fuhrer Bradley himself to dwell near/with Ishvalan refugees and quell any and all murmurings of uprising. After the Promised Day, however, she found herself in search of new employment, and found an alchemist aiming to perfect chimeras who was in need of an assistant…
